Being 1st Generation IRISH, with a Duel Citizenship & having lived across the pond for over 17 years? Having had the Privilege of learning a limited amount of Gaelic, I was pretty impressed.I have 2 issues with this book;
1) Much of the Celtic Slang is commonplace and much of the Slang is not currently realivent, but a good beginning for those unaware of the language.
2) There are perfectly written authenticity phrased Gaelic sentences.
However, for those unaware of pronunciation of this Ancient language, it would have been helpful to translate each word, phonetically to help with communicating in the language, if your are planning a Trip to the Emerald Isle!
0verall, I enjoyed the book but I would strongly suggest more books, as in a Dictionary etc..There is a Plethora of Books on Amazon. But this book it is to the point but add more to your Collection!!! ENJOY! I AM A WEE BIT POMPOUS Regarding language in general also being a Celt? I AM EXTREMELY picky!!
Buy this book as it is a good read but add more to your Collectiom!

Excellent entertainment.
Very good book.
So helpful to put together sentences i would use a lot.

This book is fun but not recommended for younger readers!
Naughty little book but fun! I literally had to write," Beware of bad words" to the person I was giving this to! Lol Good for people who have/understand a dirty sense of humor!
I really like this book and so did my husband when I gave it to him as a gift. My only issue with it is that there is not a section that explains how to pronounce the Irish words. I think that it needs a quick run down on the different letter sounds so you can understand how to say the words. It has been fun trying to figure out how to pronounce everything in Irish, but without really knowing if we are right or not makes it difficult to truly appreciate the book in its full capacity.
